Upper Macungie Township enforces the PA Uniform Construction Codes and all questions should be addressed to Building Code Officials.
Permit forms are “Fillable” PDFs. We strongly advise using this option for clarity and efficiency.
NOTICE – Changes to the PA Building Codes
The Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code, Act 45 of 1999, has approved the 2021 ICC Code Series for enforcement starting on January 1, 2026.
- Builders wishing to use the current 2018 PA UCC must have a design or construction contract signed before January 1, 2026, and apply for the building permit by June 30, 2026 (within six months).
- Any design or construction contracts signed on or after January 1, 2026, or permit applications submitted on or after July 1, 2026, must comply with the 2021 PA UCC.
